Ankur grew up in New Delhi, India and has spent more than 2 decades performing. He played leading parts in Grease, West Side Story, Fame, Evita and Hair among many others. In 2010 and 2011, he was awarded Best Actor at the Australian theatre festival, Short+Sweet. In 2019, he was cast in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding Musical. Before training at The Oxford School of Drama, Ankur had a long stint singing solo, in bands, and as a session singer. He now lives in Oxford with his family and when not performing on stage, you will find him immersed in one of his photography projects.
