Marketing Manager

Full-time, permanent | £35,000 per annum | Application Deadline: 19th October

The Oxford School of Drama is looking for a digitally minded, creative and organised Marketing Manager to join our small, committed team at our beautiful site in the Oxfordshire countryside.

This is a senior, hands-on marketing role with responsibility for leading OSD’s marketing and communications strategy across digital, print, social media, email and paid channels. You’ll play a key role in growing awareness of our training, attracting prospective students, increasing audiences for our productions and celebrating the work of our alumni.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with several years’ experience in marketing or communications, ideally with experience of leading or owning a marketing strategy.

You’ll have:

  • Strong digital marketing experience, including social media, email, website content management and analytics.
  • Experience developing campaigns that grow audiences, applications or ticket sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and external suppliers or agencies.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The confidence to take ownership of projects and work with minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A genuine interest in the performing arts and a desire to help more people discover OSD’s courses, productions and alumni.
  • The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a small team.

Experience in education, the arts or the cultural sector would be valuable, but we’re also interested in hearing from talented marketers with a genuine passion for the performing arts.

Development and Fundraising Specialist

The Oxford School of Drama is looking for an experienced Development and Fundraising Specialist to lead an ambitious fundraising push for our new Ruby Scholarship Programme.

This is a high-level, part-time role for an experienced fundraiser who can work strategically, build strong relationships and take ownership of a fundraising programme with significant scope to make a difference.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of success and the confidence to take ownership of a significant fundraising programme.

You’ll have:

  • A proven track record of fundraising success, ideally including major gifts, trusts and foundations.
  • Confidence and warmth in building relationships with high-net-worth individuals and donors.
  • A strategic, self-starting approach and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make a compelling case for support.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with the Alumni Relations Lead and Executive Director.

The following experience would also be valuable:

  • Alumni-based fundraising or alumni relations.
  • The performing arts, drama training or wider creative education sector.
  • Bursary, scholarship or capital campaigns.
  • Donor databases or CRM systems for managing prospects and gifts.
