Course Overview

This four-day immersive audition technique course aims to demystify the process of auditioning for drama schools. The course provides a positive and supportive environment where participants discover more of their potential and are empowered to make the creative choices they will need to stand out in a crowded field. Whilst no course can ever guarantee you a place at drama school, this course offers powerful tools and insights to turn the auditioning process from what can sometimes feel like a daunting and nervous experience, into a positive, creative and inspiring process where you are more likely to perform at your best. The course includes exploration of techniques to deepen your approach to classical and contemporary speeches, singing to free up your vocal and emotional expression, and the nuts and bolts of screen-work to help with self-taping and audition via zoom. The course will end with a mock casting to allow students to put the skills into practice. Students are advised to bring a modern and a classical audition speech as well as a song with them to work on during the course. Please note –  the course is designed for actors over the age of 18 only. Group sizes are limited to 12 places to allow for social distancing if required so early booking is recommended.
