July 2022 – One Year Course Final Production
It’s 2050 and a small coastal town in Britain has gone underwater due to the rising sea level. Some of the town inhabitants have taken shelter in a manor house converted into a camp for climate change refugees, run by Maxscore, a private company. As they face scarce food, power cuts and blackmail, the camp inmates realise that people are disappearing mysteriously. A strange force has been unleashed and is set to destroy them. Can they organise to stop it before it’s too late?
This new piece of commissioned writing is by Hassan Abdulrazzak, whose plays include The Special Relationship (Soho Theatre, 2020) and Here I Am (Arcola Theatre, 2017).
Director, Hal Chambers is an award-winning director and has directed work around the UK and recently directed work for RADA, Rabble Theatre – Reading, Stephen Joseph Theatre – Scarborough and York Theatre Royal.
This is the final production of the One Year Course graduating students and is a great opportunity to see the acting talent of the future.
