BABOU: I remember one of the most difficult things I did at Oxford School of Drama was perform a “self song.” You write a song about your own life and you perform it unaccompanied in front of the whole school.
Wow.
BABOU: Exactly. I remember when they told us that that’s what we were going to do. Everyone was like “what?” There is comfort in the fact that the rest of your classmates are doing it as well. Everybody has to get up.
I would be like, “no way.”
BABOU: [laughs] Yeah, we all say the same thing. But, it was cathartic. Something opened up. With those sorts of experiences, you’re going to grow whether you want to or not. Oxford School of Drama. Can’t recommend it enough.
