Graduation Course: One Year Course

Gia is a London-based actor with Nigerian, Scottish and Swedish ancestry. Raised in a musically vibrant household, she inherited a deep love for jazz & blues, which was reflected in her admiration of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. She could see herself in Tiana, crystallising the idea that acting is a means to bring stories about music, representation and magic to life, and Gia wanted to be a part of it. Though she read Law at the University of Bristol, she began training at the Identity School of Acting alongside her degree before ultimately choosing the stage over the courtroom and joining OSD.Gia, driven by her impulses, is drawn to roles that challenge perceptions and herself; notably, writing and performing a one-woman semi-autobiographical play titled ‘Engl-ish, which examines the links between race, ethnicity and nationhood. She is a dynamic and physically expressive performer and knows her ongoing commitment to her craft will speak for itself. When not on stage, you’ll find her working on her own style of experimental cooking- just don’t eat anything she offers you!
