Before being accepted at the Oxford School of Drama, Iacopo has been involved in fringe theatre for almost twenty years; having developed a deep-rooted love and respect for the craft, he decided to leave his job to pursue his one true calling and become a professional, trained actor. He has also directed or assistant-directed several plays, both while at OSD and before – most notably Goodbye, Mr. Coffee at the Camden Fringe in 2024. Iacopo holds a Master’s Degree in Theoretical Physics and has worked as a scientist and researcher in Artificial Intelligence – he is now cautiously curious about the way AI could change the acting industry. A British-Italian dual-national of Argentinian and Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, Iacopo – like his ancestors – enjoys getting around: he has visited forty countries, and speaks four languages (some very badly). He loves hearing and telling stories from all places and cultures, and looks forward to pouring this passion into his acting career.
