Jowan is a proud Cornishman, from Penzance. From a young age he worked regularly as an actor in theatre and film across the UK, from training with a pack of wolves for Wildworks Theatre’s ‘Wolf’s Child,’ to working closely with Mark Jenkin in his BAFTA winning feature film ‘BAIT.’ When he wasn’t working, he would throw his surfboards in his homemade campervan; or perform with one of his bands as a keyboard player and rowdy ska frontman.

As a writer he has worked with a number of professional theatre companies and his debut short film ‘Tom’s Dream,’ about a boy from Cornwall who’s too poor to get to the beach, will be shown in select cinemas this month.
