Maeve is a northern actress, with Scottish, German and South African heritage; her varied ancestry gave her an immediate drive to tell the stories of her family, from all over the world and throughout history. She grew up in Cheshire, enjoying both the countryside and local cities (Liverpool and Manchester) where she found her love for live music, vintage clothing and theatre. She went on to train at the National Youth Theatre and the foundation course at the Oxford School of Drama prior to the Three Year Course.
