Martha is a Geordie lass through and through. From coffee on Tynemouth Beach to nights out on the Toon, Martha has been formed by the vibrant people and landscape surrounding her. Before her training, Martha had appeared as a dancer in numerous shows across the North East, in promotional videos, music videos and even as a scare actor! Martha is passionate about telling raw and vulnerable stories that reflect a shared human experience. She is influenced by the sociopolitics that growing up in a working-class community brings. Having an active childhood filled with horse riding and dancing, Martha is a keen mover and, within her training, has developed an interest in movement directing, which she has enjoyed putting into practice during productions over her three years at OSD. She also made her directorial debut with their recent project of Alice Birch’s [ BLANK ].
