Matthew is a British-Filipino actor and storyteller from Surrey. He first fell in love with the transformative power of acting while studying Philosophy at the University of Sheffield, where his fascination with the nuances of the human condition found a new outlet on stage. A compulsive creator with a passion for making from scratch, Matthew also writes, composes music, and creates DIY films in his living room. Since university Matthew has performed in full runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, co-created and performed in original pieces with his theatre company, Only Lucky Dogs, and, with support from New Earth Theatre, he’s recently begun developing his own form of storytelling gig-theatre. Keen to keep growing, Matthew enrolled at OSD to expand his creative toolkit and to help him adapt his playful creativity into a disciplined craft. Outside of acting, he loves to hike, is a keen shrimp enthusiast, and firmly believes in the power of silliness.
