Prior to Oxford, Mimi grew up in both London and Hong Kong until age 18 when she returned to the UK to take up her training at the Oxford School of Drama. From the age of 6, she was involved in semi-professional theatre/film work in various countries, which included the premier of Flood by Rory Mullarkey, a co-production between NYT, Hong Kong YAF, and ArtisTree. Alongside her acting, she also represented her country in Netball at junior level internationally before turning to acting full-time.
