After his BA in Fine Art and MA in Philosophy, Tobias returned to his hometown of Oxford and took up acting.  For several years (alongside teaching English and recording audiobooks) he performed in venues across Oxford, including The Playhouse, The Old Fire Station and Oxford Castle, where he developed his passion for Shakespeare. The training at OSD has made him realise that he is never happier than when rehearsing or performing a play as part of an ensemble. Tobias ends most evenings with a game of chess or scrabble before bed.
