A new feature for our screen round-ups that celebrates casting news for TV series and feature films that are currently in production. This month, we’re taking a look at OSD graduates Ritu Arya, Luke McGibney and Andrew Gower.

Ritu Takes The Lead
Ritu Arya has been announced as the series lead in forthcoming BBC legal drama The Spilt Up.
The cast includes Sanjeev Bhaskar (The Kumars at Number 42, Unforgotten), Lenny Henry (Thee Little Birds, The Lenny Henry Show), Mawaan Rizwan (Juice) and Jameela Jamil (The Good Place)

Luke as Louis Vol. 2
Luke McGibney will return as Lord Louis Mountbatten in the multi-award-nominated Freedom at Midnight, which will be back for a second season.
Luke has two further projects lined up: Daniel, a biblical epic from The Kooman Brothers, and VD14, a large-scale period fantasy drama.
Luke has wrapped on Daniel, and the film is aiming for a 2026 theatrical release in North America. VD14 is currently in production.

Andrew's Back for Season 2
Andrew Gower is returning for a second season of Ellis alongside co-star Sharon D Clarke.
The crime drama was a hit for Channel 5 in 2024, with fellow OSD grad Aoibhéann McCann featuring in episode 3. Andrew will be back as DS Chet Harper for season 2.
Did you know Andrew is also a singer-songwriter? His band Gustaffson released their debut album, Black & White Movie, in March.
