Cassidy McCarten is a London-based actor and Designated Linklater Teacher, native to the United States. Cassidy received her BFA in Acting from the University of Rhode Island and her MFA in Linklater Teaching Practice from Rose Bruford College in London, UK. She currently teaches Linklater voice, dialects, and Shakespeare text in multiple drama schools. She strives to help people reconnect with their natural voice through physical release, freedom of breath, and a clear desire to communicate. Alongside teaching and coaching voice, Cassidy has experience in devising theatre shows, as well as developing work in Theatre of the Oppressed. Cassidy’s first introduction to Linklater voice was at Shakespeare & Company’s Month Long Summer Training Institute. As an actor, she has performed with Toil and Trouble Shakespeare, Burbage Theatre, Gamm Theatre, Boston Playwright’s Theatre, Praxis Stage, and many others.
Cassidy teaches on the Foundation, Three Year and One Year Courses in both Voice and Devising disciplines.
