Lydia stars in The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco, a spinoff from the UK period drama The Bletchley Circle. It is produced by BritBox which is run by BBC Worldwide and ITV.
The Split is the BBC’s new drama series written by Abi Morgan about a family of high-flying divorce lawyers. The Radio Times has described it as “genuinely sharp, witty and funny”. As well as Annabel, the series includes a stellar cast including Nicola Walker, Deborah Findlay, Meera Syal and Stephen Mangan.
The third season of Into the Badlands which stars Babou Ceesay as Pilgrim has opened to great reviews in the US. The first episode of the third season of the cult series has been deemed “a can’t miss spectacle” by denofgeek.com
From 20 April – 12 May, Maimuna stars in the world premiere of Chris Bush and Matt Winkworth’s musical about truth, celebrity and public outrage.

Joe Hill-Gibbins’ production of Rodney Ackland’s Absolute Hell opens at the National on 18 April. This provocative play was condemned as ‘a libel on the British people’ when first performed in 1952. The cast also includes Joanna David, Kate Fleetwood and Jonathan Slinger.
National Geographic’s second season of Genius had its preview screening at Tate Modern on 10th April. It focusses on the life of artist Pablo Picasso, played by Antonio Banderas. Samantha Colley, who appeared alongside Johnny Flynn as Albert Einstein’s wife in season one, stars as Picasso’s lover and muse Dora Maar.
The production plays in Dublin from 12th April – 9th June 2018. Assassins is a multiple Tony Award-winning musical which lays bare the lives of nine people who assassinated (or tried to assassinate) the President of the United States.
The snowdrifts, freezing temperatures and floods which have greeted the month of March may be gone, but it is still a whirlwind of a month for our graduates.
Adura will be attached to the Traverse Theatre as part of her Channel 4 Playwrights’ Scheme Bursary, where she will write at least one full-length play. She will also have the opportunity to submit her play for the Sonia Friedman Productions Award in the year following her bursary.

For the second year in a row Claire has won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series in the awards which are voted on by the US acting industry.
2018 sees two major productions of ‘The Scottish Play’ – one at the RSC and the other at the National Theatre. Two OSD graduates will be in Polly Findlay’s production for the RSC which opens at Stratford on 13 March and plays until 18 September. It will also be broadcast live in cinemas on 11 April.

The Christmas show at Birmingham Rep is Dodi Smith’s classic story of dalmatians Pongo and Missis and their quest to find their missing puppies which leads them to the vicious Cruella de Vil.
As can be seen from the trailer, graduates Nell Hudson (Skerrett) and Margaret Clunie (Harriet, Duchess of Sutherland) will have significant parts to play in Monday’s special episode of Victoria.

The Radio Times’ first ever annual list of the 100 most influential people in TV includes graduates Claire Foy and Babou Ceesay. The list was compiled by top TV and broadcasting executives on the basis of the stars they believe to have had an exceptional 12 months in the industry.
