One Year Course graduate, Richard Gadd is to appear in the new series of BBC3’s Clique. He follows in the footsteps of Three Year Course graduate, Mark Strepan, who played Rory in the first series which received great acclaim.
Richard will also appear in the next series of Sky Arts’ Urban Myths. This popular series puts a comedic spin on a host of scandalous, surprising and surreal urban legends involving the arts world’s most iconic figures. Princess Diana, Freddie and Kenny is about the night in 1988 when Kenny Everett, Freddie Mercury and Cleo Rocos smuggled Princess Diana into a cabaret at South London’s Vauxhall Tavern dressed as a man. Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Richard Gadd, will play Gareth, whose fictional encounter with Diana is at the heart of the film.
A Sky publicist said: ‘Princess Diana, Freddie and Kenny is a fictionalised account of an event that’s part of the folklore of the Vauxhall Tavern. It features a central, fictionalised encounter between Princess Diana and Gareth, a drag queen played by award winning comedian Richard Gadd.’
