Emily leads the new company for A Comedy about a Bank Robbery which is in its third year in the West End. Emily has joined the cast at the Criterion in the lead role of Caprice Freeboys.


Nick will be touring nationwide in The Mousetrap until November 2019. The tour opens in Guildford on 29 January 2019 before visiting Northampton, Sheffield, Colchester, Southport, Sunderland, Wycombe, Bromley, Cheltenham, Oxford, Crewe, Coventry, Crawley, Darlington, Exeter, Salford, York, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Southend, Nottingham, Bristol, Stoke, Brighton, Norwich, Malvern, Bournemouth, Dartford, Eastbourne and Cardiff with more venues to be announced.


Chanelle, who graduated from our Three Year Acting Course in July 2018, is making her professional stage debut in Ivo van Hove’s production of All About Eve, the Academy Award-winning film by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. The production stars Gillian Anderson and Lily James and will run at the Noel Coward Theatre from 2nd February 2019 to 11th May 2019.


You will be seeing a lot more of Olivia Bromley in forthcoming episodes of Emmerdale as her character, Dawn, will be a regular fixture on the hit ITV series. Dawn was introduced to Emmerdale on April 25 last year as part of an acid attack storyline.


Emily Steel’s 19 Weeks was a huge hit at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival and went on to be nominated for 6 awards, winning two of them. It is Emily’s own story of having a termination when her baby was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome.


Channel 4’s drama based on the ‘Leave’ referendum campaign has three OSD graduates in the cast including Lee Boardman playing controversial businessman Arron Banks.


It has been quite a start to 2019 for Celyn who stars as murder Levi Bellfield in ITV’s Manhunt which is broadcast on ITV1 from 6 – 9 January – or available on ITV Hub https://www.itv.com/hub/itv


Tanya starts 2019 in two major series. In Delicious on Sky One she reprises her role as Dawn French’s troubled daughter.

Great friend of the school and award-winning playwright, Jodi Gray, has had her play Thrown published by Nick Hern Books in Plays from the Vault 4.


Caitlin’s character, Lizzie, has been introduced to the fans of Outlander in episode 407 – ‘Down the Rabbit Hole’. The hit series has a strong fan base both across the world and Caitlin was delighted to join the cast as a regular character in Season 4.


Claire has been nominated in the categories of BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS for First Man and BEST BRITISH ACTRESS. Claire has had a very busy 2018. As well as the release of season 2 of The Crown on the small screen she has released three feature films: First Man, The Girl in the Spider’s Web and Unsane.


Each year The Guardian publishes a list of its top 10 theatre shows of the year. The 2018 list is compiled by critic Michael Billington and includes the RSC’s Tamberlaine and Laura Wade’s The Watsons at Chichester Festival Theatre. Four graduates of the School (all from the One Year Acting Course) are in these productions.


Adura has been headlined as in the top 10 of The List’s Hot 100 for this year.
The List wrote of Adura: This recipient of the Channel 4 Playwright Scheme is currently artist-in-residence at the Traverse Theatre. Having garnered huge critical acclaim for her powerful acting role in Creditors, Onashile is now developing new work. Immensely versatile, she’s also a powerful playwright.


The series is hotting up, the twists and turns getting ever greater and OSD graduate, Faye Castelow is playing her part in it all as Hettie, alongside OSD graduate Richard Gadd.


Lewis is Sammy in episode three of BBC1’s comedy Enterprice which is broadcast on Friday 14th December at 11.25pm.

Claire Foy has been nominated for a 2019 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. This is her third nomination and follows her win in 2017. The 2019 nomination is for her portrayal of Janet Armstrong, Neil Armstrong’s wife, in the feature film First Man.

Rhoda will appear in the feature film Tulip Fever starring Alicia Vikander and Judi Dench. She plays one of the nuns in the charge of Abbess, Judi Dench, in the film set in the tulip mania of 17th century Amsterdam.


One Year Course graduate Ella joins the cast of Call the Midwife for the Christmas Special and the whole of season 8 as postulant nun Sister Frances. She appears alongside Miriam Margolyes and Fenella Woolgar.


The new cast for A Comedy About a Bank Robbery at the Criterion Theatre will be led by Emily Stott as Caprice Freeboys and she will be joined by no less than three other graduates: George Hannigan, Charlotte Duffy and Rhiann Francis. The Comedy About a Bank Robberywill run until November 2019, it has been announced.


A psychological thriller, Striplight has been both written and directed by Alex and produced by Zebrafish Media. Post production on the film concluded this year, and it has been selected by NewFilmmakers New York as part their 2018 winter festival. It will premier in Manhattan on 19 December.


It has just been announced that Charity will star in The Great a series pilot being made by the US streaming channel, Hulu. Hulu produced the multi award-winning A Handmaid’s Tale.

George Peck founded The Oxford School of Drama 32 years ago. Kate Ashcroft, Executive Director from 1997 – 2017 and now Head of Marketing and Development, will leave at the same time.

Babou and Jill Halfpenny will lead the cast in a new four-part drama for the BBC. Dark Mon£y is written by Levi David Addai, who wrote Damilola, Our Loved Boy which also starred Babou.
