The Oxford School of Drama invites you to a live online rehearsed reading of a newly commissioned play, Circle Game, performed by their graduating 3-year acting course students.
Twelve addicts are in recovery at a rehabilitation centre. From drugs to gambling, sex to exercise, the residents and the staff must navigate these complex recoveries together.
Circle Game intends to reveal the humans who live inside addiction, and how they can choose to climb away from it, but it will always be with them.
Directed by Hannah Hauer-King (The Funeral Director, ETT & Fabric, Damsel Productions) and written by Sophie Swithinbank (Bacon, Soho Theatre, 2018 Tony Craze Award Winner) this live experience promises to be an unforgettable study of the human condition that demonstrates that addiction is human, and recovery can often feel superhuman.
Originally due to be performed at the Soho Theatre, Circle Game will be performed at 5pm on 28/29/30 July via our YouTube channel. To view, please click here. It would be wonderful if you could let us know that you’re planning to attend by RSVPing to r.gilmour@oxforddrama.ac.uk
