George Hannigan gets glowing reviews for professional debut in The Comedy about a Bank Robbery

George (on right in the photo), who graduated from our Three Year Course in July, is making his professional stage debut in the UK tour of The Comedy about a Bank Robbery. The production opened in Birmingham this month and tours until May 2019. The production has been receiving glowing reviews and George’s performance has been highlighted in many of them:

“In one particularly brilliant scene at the start of the second act, George Hannigan (‘Everyone Else’) is alone on a completely empty stage playing three different characters who are all mid-brawl. This could be an entirely underwhelming moment, with just a single actor on the rather vast and bare stage. However the meticulousness of the movement direction, and incredible precision in Hannigan’s performance make for an utterly hysterical solo fight-scene.” The Reviews Hub

“the scene where three long-distance suitors to Julia Frith’s Caprice Freeboys, all played by George Hannigan, get into fisticuffs is a particular joy” Mancunian Matters
