Tom Ratcliffe’s play Velvet has been published by Playdead Press, an independent UK publishing house that specialises in the publication of new and emerging drama and poetry writers.

Set against the backdrop of the 2017 #MeToo movement, Velvet explores the complex realities of harassment within the industry and how far a person is willing to go to achieve their dreams. Velvet won Theatre Weekly’s ‘Outstanding Monologue’ in Edinburgh 2018’s ‘Best of the Fest’.
